The Strange Flute is an item found in Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. At first when Link plays the flute, it will only play a tune and nothing else will happen. It is essentially useless until later in the game when Link meets Dimitri, Moosh and Ricky. Depending on how the flute is acquired, one of the three will become a permanent animal partner that he can summon at certain locations in the lands of Holodrum and Labrynna and determines the landscape of Natzu in Oracle of Seasons and Nuun Highlands in Oracle of Ages.
In a linked game, Link cannot obtain any other Flute, as he is assigned the same animal partner.
In either game, once assigned to a companion, the flute can be used to kill Pol's Voice. In Oracle of Seasons, this is the only sound-emitting item Link acquires, whereas in Ages the Harp of Ages can also be used.
Oracle of Seasons
