Allows Link to cross short gaps

Related

The Stepladder[1] is an item Link can collect in the fourth Dungeon of The Legend of Zelda, Level 4: The Snake. This item is used to allow Link to cross small gaps in the floor/ground. This item is required to retrieve one of the five Overworld Heart Containers found in the game. Also, there are numerous short gaps in the floor of dungeons throughout the game that can be crossed, either for shortcut purposes or because they're in the way. The Stepladder is the only item Link can use to cross these gaps. Examples of these holes appear in most of the later dungeons, including Level 5: The Lizard and Level 7: The Demon.
