Strategy
To avoid his sword slashes stay on his left side, keeping yourself out of the vast majority of his range and giving yourself more time to move when he attempts to strike. Merging onto his shield will confuse him, causing him to relax his guard, giving you an opportunity to quickly deliver a few back stabs. Later on he will begin spinning like a top, so it is important to pay attention and anticipate his movements near the end of the battle, as this move can obliterate Link if he is bit with it repeatedly.
