The Spell Spell is one of eight spells featured in The Adventure of Link.

When Spell is used in combat, it turns all but the toughest enemies into Bots. It will have no effect on Lizalfos, Magos, Wizzrobes, or the blue Iron Knuckle as a boss such as in the Island Palace, or as the guardian of the Cross in the Hidden Palace. Enemies such as Iron Knuckles that normally do not reappear after being defeated until exiting the palace will do so after having Spell cast upon them.

Spell is also used to open a certain building near the edge of the Hidden Town of Kasuto containing the Magical Key, which is required to complete the Hidden Palace.
