"A sword brandished by the soldiers who once protected Hyrule Castle. Its durable blade is well tuned for slaying monsters."

— In-Game Description[1]

The Soldier's Broadsword is a one-handed sword found in Breath of the Wild. It looks relatively new in appearance, sporting a small design making it easy to wield in one hand.

A Soldier's Broadsword can be found behind the waterfall in the River of the Dead on the Great Plateau. A second Soldier's Broadsword can be found at the top of the ruins, behind the Ja Baij Shrine, right at the edge of the Great Plateau. With a base power of 14, it is one of the most powerful weapons Link can acquire on the Great Plateau.

Outside the Great Plateau, it is a common weapon of choice for Blue Bokoblins in the Dueling Peaks region, usually around Bokoblin Camps. They are also a common weapon of choice by the Black Moblins. While it is stronger than the Rusty Broadsword and Traveler's Sword, it quickly becomes outclassed by more powerful swords later in game, such as the Knight's Broadsword and Royal Broadsword.
