Sokra is a character featured within Oracle of Seasons. He is a wandering prophet who knows much about Holodrum and will appear in several different locations along Link's quest.

Sokra first appears at the east end of Horon Village, but he is sound asleep. It isn't until after Link completes the Gnarled Root Dungeon that Sokra will awake. He will give Link some words of wisdom, explaining that the Temple of Seasons is calling for you.[1]

Link will later run into Sokra within the Woods of Winter. After Link travels to Subrosia and acquires the Rod of Seasons, he'll come back up through the Subrosian Portal. After heading east one screen to the Woods of Winter, Sokra will immediately start talking to Link speaking about the Rod of Seasons.[2][3] Sokra explains how Link can change the season using the Rod of Seasons and the neary Tree Stump. However, he notes that the Rod only has the Power of Winter.[4] Sokra states that there must be other entrances into the land of Subrosia and that perhaps Link will once again have to return to the Temple of Seasons.[5]

  1. "Wait, young traveler. I'm a wandering prophet, Sokra. Ahh...I feel it! Spring, summer, autumn, winter! The four spirits are calling you! Make no mistake! The Temple of Seasons is still hidden in this world! If you can find the temple, then pay a visit to the spirits who live there. Surely they can help. Farewell!" — Sokra, Oracle of Seasons.
  2. "That's it! You have the Rod of Seasons!" — Sokra, Oracle of Seasons.
  3. "If that Rod of Seasons held the powers of the Season Spirits, you could change the seasons!" — Sokra, Oracle of Seasons.
  4. "But I see it has only the power of winter. Hmm... Swing the rod from atop that stump. Its power will be unleashed! Do you understand? :›Yes ›Not really" — Sokra, Oracle of Seasons.
  5. "If the Temple of Seasons has sunk into some land called Subrosia, there must be other entrances to the Subrosian land! You must find them! Perhaps you will even go to the Temple of Seasons again. So we part!" — Sokra, Oracle of Seasons.
