Template:Location

Snowhead is a location from Majora's Mask. Snowhead is located in the north of Termina, and is a snowy mountain range just waiting for spring. The Goron race inhabits this cold and frosty area, which is unusualy for them, as they usually inhabit the hot Death Mountain. The most notable Goron that can be found here is Darmani. This location houses the second Dungeon of Majora's Mask, the Snowhead Temple. The time Link enters Snowhead, he finds it to be experiencing a big shift in weather as it is meant to be spring but the area is still caught in winter..

Story

After completing Woodfall Temple, Link now travels to the north of Termina Field onto the second main region in the game, Snowhead. With his newly acquired Bow, Link can shoot the icicle, thus smashing the ice barrier. This leads Link up to the Mountain Village however he can pass through this area and onto the Goron Village, to the east. Upon entering the village, it is mainly abandoned due to the extreme weather conditions and Link has to travel to the northern section of the area to progress. It is here where Link once again talks to Kaepora Gaebora, leading Link to Lone Peak Shrine. This is where Link obtains the Lens of Truth.

With his newly acquired item Link can now see hidden things and he spots a ghost of a Goron. Upon following him back to the Mountain Village, he reveals a new area called the Goron Graveyard. The ghost is in fact the spirit of Darmani, who died while traversing up Snowhead. When Link plays the Song of Healing, it allows Darmani to finally rest and Link is gifted with the Goron Mask, which gives him new abilities. With these new abilities Goron Link can now traverse up the mountain but can not enter the Snowhead Temple itself due to a giant Goron blocking his path. To get past the Goron, Link has to learn the Goron Lullaby. He can learn the first part from the Goron Elder and the other from his son.

With the now complete lullaby, Link successfully puts the giant Goron to sleep, thus clearing the path to Snowhead Temple. This is the second dungeon of the game and Link obtains the Fire Arrows here and he defeats Goht, the dungeon boss. Having defeated the evil that lurks in Snowhead, the extreme weather will seemingly clear and it will now return to spring.
