"These octopus-like monsters live in snowy fields and disguise themselves as grass. When someone wanders by, they spring into action and attack by spitting snowballs."

— Hyrule Compendium entry

A Snow Octorok is an enemy in Breath of the Wild and Age of Calamity.

Breath of the Wild

They can be found in cold regions of the game, where they make their home beneath smalls shrubs. If they spot Link, they will jump out of the ground, and fire a rock towards him at incredible speed. After they fire a rock, they will immediately move to a new location near Link. The best way to defeat them is to wait until they jump out of the ground, then shoot an arrow into them. They only have 8 HP so most bows will be able to take them out in one shot. Upon death, they may drop an assortment of Octorok items, and occasionally some fish.

Age of Calamity

Snow Octoroks in Age of Calamity appear in colder climates, generally in the Hebra region. They are fairly weak enemies that can be defeated with a single hit. Upon being defeated, they may drop an Octorok Tentacle, Octorok Eyeball, or a Octo Balloon. After each Snow Octorok is defeated, the player will receive an Octorok Trophy, which can be used to complete quests or upgrade weapons of the various warriors.
