The Smithy is a shop in Hyrule Warriors. It can be found in the Bazaar like other shops in the game. It offers several services for modifying weapons at the cost of some Rupees.

Weapon Skills

Weapon skills are divided into categories based on their effects. Skills in some categories require a certain number of kills with that particular weapon to unlock. There is a limit to how many skills a weapon can have within each category, and a weapon may not have more than one of the same skill.

Attack (ATK) Skills

A weapon may have a maximum of 6 ATK skills. As there are only 6 ATK skills, this limitation is moot considering the unique skill limitation.

Element (ELE) Skills

A weapon may have a maximum of 5 ELE skills. As there are only 5 ELE skills, this limitation is moot considering the unique skill limitation.

Bonus (BON) Skills

A weapon may have a maximum of 6 BON Skills. As there are only 6 BON skills, this limitation is moot considering the unique skill limitation.

Hearts+	2,500	Hearts drop more easily.

KO (KOs) Skills

A weapon may have a maximum of 1 KOs Skill. These skills must be unlocked by accumulating 1,000 KOs with the weapon. The described effects occur for every 300 defeated enemies.

VS Skills

A weapon may have a maximum of 1 VS Skill. These skills must be unlocked by accumulating 2,000 KOs with the weapon.

VS Skyward	4,000	Increases attack damage against Impa, Fi, and Ghirahim.
VS Sorceress	4,000	Increases attack damage against Cia and Lana.
VS Soldier	4,000	Increases attack damage against Hyrulean Captains, Goron Captains, Moblins, and Shield Moblins.
VS Undead	10,000	Increases attack damage against Wizzro, Big Poe, Icy Big Poe, Gibdo, ReDead Knight, Darknut, and Stalmaster.
VS Dragon	10,000	Increases attack damage against King Dodongo, Argorok, Volga, Lizalfos, Dinolfos, Aeralfos, and Fiery Aeralfos.
VS Beast	10,000	Increases attack damage against Manhandla, Gohma, and The Imprisoned.
VS Ganon	4,000	Increases attack damage against Ganon.

Special (SP) Skills

A weapon may have a maximum of 1 SP Skill. These skills must be unlocked by accumulating 3,000 KOs with the weapon.

Adversity	10,000	Deal more damage when health is low.
Defenseless	10,000	Cannot block, but attacks deal more damage.
Compatriot	10,000	Deal more damage when you control more keeps.
One-Hit Kill	10,000	Increases chance of one-hit-KO'ing weak enemies.
Sturdy Feet	10,000	Take more damage, but never get knocked back.
Regen	10,000	Take more damage, but gain health over time.

Augment (AUG) Skills

A weapon may have a maximum of 2 AUG Skills. There are a total of 6 AUG Skills, which all effect your Warrior's attack. These skills must be unlocked by accumulating 4,000 KOs with the weapon.

Finishing Blow+	15,000	Increases Weak Point Smash Attack damage.
Heart-Strong	15,000	Increases attack damage while at maximum health.
Focus Spirit+	15,000	Increases Focus Spirit damage.
Hasty Attacks	15,000	Regular and Combo Attacks become faster.

Legendary (LEG) Skills

A weapon may have a maximum of 1 LEG Skill. Evil's Bane is only available on the Master Sword, which cannot receive Legendary. In order to unlock Evil's Bane, one must unlock every weapon in the game (all three ranks), excluding those from DLC packs and amiibo. Then, the 25,000 KO counter will decrement as with other KO-locked skills. In order to unlock Legendary, one must first unlock Evil's Bane, then KO 25,000 enemies. Enemies defeated before unlocking all the weapons or Evil's Bane will not be counted.

Evil's Bane increases the strength of the Master Sword from 300 to 500. Legendary increases the base strength (before stars) to 300. Stars are then calculated based on this new value. For example, a three-star R2 weapon normally has a strength of 195 (150 base + 30% of 150 (45) from stars). With the Legendary skill, its strength becomes 390 (300 base + 30% of 300 (90) from stars). Therefore, Legendary will have the same effect on any rank weapons with the same number of stars.
