Overview

The Silent Shroom is a type of mushroom and material found in Breath of the Wild. This mushroom will restore ½ of a heart when eaten raw, but can be increased if Link decides to cook it into a Toasty Silent Shroom over an open flame. Silent Shrooms can be used in a variety of Recipes, and they have an extra cooking effect of increased stealth. Silent Shrooms can also be used to create Light Blue Dye at the Kochi Dye Shop in Hateno Village.

Location

They tend to grow all over Hyrule, but they are must abundant in the Lanayru region, particularly along the pathway that leads to Zora's Domain. There are over 20 of them in a small area, just north of Ruto Mountain, just east of Luto's Crossing.

They also appear abundantly in the forest areas surrounding the Batrea Lake in the Dueling Peaks region. Also in the Dueling Peaks region, there are plenty just south of the Hickaly Woods, both at the bottom and top of the waterfall.

They appear more sporadically within the Tanagar Canyon, in the Thyphlo Ruins, and throughout the Akkala and Dueling Peaks regions.

Upgrades

Silent Shrooms are required to upgrade the Stealth Set, which consists of the Stealth Mask, Stealth Chest Guard, and Stealth Tights. For the Level 3 upgrade, Link will need 8 Silent Shrooms, along with 5 Sneaky River Snails.
