The Sickle Moon Flag is an item in the Trading Sequence of The Wind Waker.

Link can obtain it from two of the three Traveling Merchants around the Great Sea. The Bomb Island merchant will give it to him if Link trades an Exotic Flower or Pinwheel.[1][2] The Mother and Child Isles merchant offers it in exchange for the Big Catch Flag.[3] Both require 40 Rupees to complete the transaction.[4][5] When Link trades with either of them, he forms the merchant's oath, which causes the merchants to send the Sickle Moon Flag to the Windfall Island Shop.[6] After, Zunari will sell this item for 40 Rupees.[7]

Link can then trade the Sickle Moon Flag to the merchants for a new item. On Bomb Island and Greatfish Isle, both merchants offer a Fountain Idol in return, as long as he pays 60 Rupees.[8][9][10][11] On Mother and Child Isles, he receives the Big Catch Flag if he also contributes 85 Rupees.[12][13]

While Link has the Sickle Moon Flag in his possession, he carries it in his Delivery Bag. He can also place it in Joy Pedestals around Windfall Island to support the Joyous Volunteer Association.[14]
