The Shooting Gallery is a minigame in many Zelda games. Its first appearance was in A Link to the Past, but it has become more noticeable since the series jumped to 3D.

Appearances

A Link to the Past

"The ghostly proprietor of the Shooting Gallery offered visitors five shots at moving targets for 20 Rupees. If these visitors were sharpshooters, they could earn their Rupees back, and more. The prize started at four Rupees and doubled with each consecutive hit. If all five shots were good, the shooter would take in total winnings of 124 Rupees. "

— Nintendo Power Player's Guide

"Sharpshooters Only
While the row of Shooting Gallery targets moved in one direction, hand-shaped obstacles in front of them moved in the other direction. Sharpshooters would wait until there was a long gap between the hands, then take aim and fire.
"

— Nintendo Power Player's Guide

In A Link to the Past, there lies a tiny Shooting Gallery in the Village of Outcasts, where Link can shoot at targets with his Bow. The hero has 5 shots to shoot with, and the more he shoots at the targets the more Rupees he gets.

Ocarina of Time

In Ocarina of Time, the Shooting Gallery is found in Castle Town. It later moves to Kakariko Village after Ganondorf took over Hyrule. It costs 20 Rupees to play a game. To win, Link must successfully hit all ten Rupees with fifteen shots. If he hits at least eight rupees, he gets another free retry.

As a child, Link uses the Fairy Slingshot when he plays. He must hit every single Rupee to receive a large Deku Seed bag, and subsequent wins will grant him 50 Rupees. As an adult, using the bow and arrows, the prize is a Large Quiver, allowing Link to hold up to 40 arrows. Link can play without the bow and arrows, although he will only win 50 Rupees for completing it. He must have the Fairy Bow, which he gets in the Forest Temple. With the Fairy Bow, Link can win the Large Quiver.

Majora's Mask

In Majora's Mask, there are two Shooting Galleries that Link can play in. The first can be found in Clock Town, called Clock Town Shooting Gallery, with Octoroks as targets. Link shoots every Octorok except the blue ones, because the time will be reduced if he does. When Link has completed the game with at least 40 points, he will be awarded the Large Quiver. If Link gets 50 points he will be awarded with a Piece of Heart.

The second Shooting Gallery is found in the Southern Swamp, called Swamp Shooting Gallery. Here, Link has to shoot at Guays, Wolfos and Deku Scrubs. Link must beat 2120+ to be awarded with the Largest Quiver. If he beats 2200+ the hero gains a Piece of Heart.

Oracle of Ages

Four Swords Adventures

In Four Swords Adventures, Link can play in the Shooting Gallery owned by Mage in the Village of the Blue Maiden. Link has 10 shots to shoot with, and he aims at Force Gems as targets, which if he hits them, he keeps them.

Phantom Hourglass

Link's friend, Romanos,, opened his Shooting Gallery on Molida Island. It costs 20 Rupees to play. Link has 70 seconds to play with endless of shots and if Link hits one target he gets 10 points, but if he hits more and more targets, he gets more points, up to 50, which if he loses it starts from 10 points again. If Link beats the points by 1700+, he will be awarded with the Large Quiver, and if Link beats with 2000+ points, he will be gained a Heart Container.
