The Sheikah Slate is an essential item in Breath of the Wild. It is found at the beginning of the game, when Link wakes up in the Shrine of Resurrection on a pedestal.
Overview
Link can use the Shiekah Slate in order to enter many Shrines scattered across Hyrule, where Link can complete a trial and obtain a new Rune for the slate. These runes allow Link to perform various tasks using the Sheikah Slate, including moving metal objects from a distance with the Magnesis Rune.
