Once Link has completed the [[Lakebed Temple]], he returns to the [[Lanayru Spring]] where [[Lanayru (Light Spirit)|Lanayru]] reside, and [[Zant]] will then come by of a shock and will after minutes create a lethal ball to throw at Midna. Link attempts to defend Midna, and with a touch of the ball, Link gets the Shadow Crystal stuck to his head, and in due course, it pushes in farther inside Link's head. Link is thus unable to return to his human form. [[Link]] does not directly use the item, rather, [[Midna]] uses it in conjunction with the [[Master Sword]] to transform Link into his feral form at will. The Shadow Crystal is an item in Twilight Princess. Once Link has completed the Lakebed Temple, he returns to the Lanayru Spring where Lanayru reside, and Zant will then come by of a shock and will after minutes create a lethal ball to throw at Midna. Link attempts to defend Midna, and with a touch of the ball, Link gets the Shadow Crystal stuck to his head, and in due course, it pushes in farther inside Link's head. Link is thus unable to return to his human form. Link does not directly use the item, rather, Midna uses it in conjunction with the Master Sword to transform Link into his feral form at will.
