When Link is speaking with Ghirahim in the Forest Temple, the evil lord mentions that a "servant of the goddess" snatched her away before she could fall into his grasp. It was previously thought by many that the silhouette resembling a whale that swallows Zelda up was this servant, but this is unproven and no longer as likely as it seemed. The Servant of the Goddess may also be the mysterious blonde girl who resembles a Sheikah that is briefly seen, but this is also completely unproven, and the servant could be an as of yet unrevealed character.
The servant of the Goddess is an alter-ego for Impa.

It is also unclear what the singular reference to "the goddess" means, as throughout the Zelda series there are references to the three Goddesses, as well as just "the gods", but never to a single goddess. Zelda is also stated to be a servant of the goddess, so this other servant may be connected to Zelda.
