Scissors Beetles are enemies in The Minish Cap.
The Minish Cap
Scissors Beetles only appear in Minish paths and dungeons. They are one of the more difficult enemies that Link will come across. Scissors Beetles have large blue mandibles that act like a shield. They also will shoot their mandibles out at Link, which act like a boomerang.
To defeat Scissors Beetles, Link can stand back and once they shoot their mandibles out, run up to these bugs and strike them in their mouth which is now vulnerable. Link can also strike them in the back or side. But, be aware for their mandibles that can cause a lot of damage. Link can also use the Boomerang to stun the enemy, allowing him to deal damage. They will take seven slashes with the White Sword to defeat.
The first pair of Scissors Beetles can be found during The Elder's Trial, located just beneath the Royal Hyrule Library. Once defeated, a treasure chest will appear that contains the Flipperss.
