Rose is character who lives on Outset Island in The Wind Waker.
Overview
Rose is the wife of Abe, and the mother of Joel and Zill, who all reside on the quiet Outset Island.
Early on in the quest, she can be found in the animal pen just outside of her house. She congratulates Link on his birthday.[1] Although she congratulates herself as well, as her family just completed building the hutch and paddock outside their house today.[2] She wants to get a pet and keep it in the new pen that she just built and thinks that her two boys would enjoy having a pet around.
Rose will wonder what kind of pet to get and tasks Link on keeping an eye out for any good pets. If he finds one, he can bring one to the pen.[3][4] There are three pigs scattered about on Outset Island and Link can sneak up and capture them. With Rose's husband Abe's guidance, Link can catch all three pigs and bring them over to Rose for a reward. Even though she loves her pets, she still considers them food, and proves this by eating two of the pig gifts that Link brought her. Even though she knows that Link knows she ate them, she still insists that they ran away, but her lies are given away by her habit of laughing while she is lying.
