Richard is a character from Ocarina of Time.
Richard is Mamamu Yan's dog. His owner claims he can run faster than all other dogs.[1], and that he has a unique fur coat compared to the other dogs.[2]
At nighttime, Mamamu Yan cannot find her dog anywhere. She asks Link to go and look for him.[3] Richard can be found running around the Market stall near the Bazaar. If Link brings him home to Mamamu Yan's house in the Back Alley, she will reward him with a Piece of Heart.[4]
When Link is an adult, Richard has passed away. Mamamu Yan, who now lives in Kakariko Village, remembers him very fondly, bringing up how exceptional he was.[5]
