A Restless Cricket is a common material in Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity, and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

"A very energetic cricket. Cook it with monster parts to create a stamina-recovery elixir."

— In-game description

Restless Crickets can typically be found in fields around Hyrule, most commonly in Hyrule Field or East Necluda. They are fairly abundant in and around Hateno Village. The Ovli Plain northwest of Hateno Village has a lot of grass and if Link cuts down the grass, he usually can find a number of crickets.

They can be sold to shop-vendors all over Hyrule for 2 Rupees each. Cooking them with monster parts results in an elixir that will restore stamina. If Link tries to cook them with other ingredients such as food, it will result in Dubious Food. They can also be used for Green Dye at the Kochi Dye Shop.

A Gift for My Beloved

Main article: A Gift for My Beloved

When Link talks to Manny at Hateno Village, he will begin the A Gift for My Beloved sidequest. Link can then enter The Great Ton Pu Inn and speak with Prima to find out what she likes. Return to Manny and Link will be tasked with collecting 10 Restless Crickets. Once Link gives Manny the 10 crickets, he will be awarded with a Silver Rupee.

Age of Calamity

"A very energetic cricket that stores nutrients within its body."
