The Red Potion is known as the 2nd Potion in The Legend of Zelda. It can be obtained by giving the Letter from the old man to the old lady who sells potions. Link can then buy it for 68 Rupees. The Red Potion heals all Link's hearts and can be used twice. When it is used nce, it turns into Water of Life that heals all your hearts but only can be used once. When Link uses all the potion up, the Bottle disappears.

Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask

In both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, the Red Potion has the same look and effect.

In Ocarina of Time, Red Potion can be bought from potion shops and various Business Scrubs found throughout Hyrule. Business Scrubs usually sell it for a higher price because of convenience. Red Potion heals all of Link's health and has one use.

In Majora's Mask, Red Potion can be bought from Kotake in the Southern Swamp Potion Shop, the Zora shop, and the Goron shop. The Red Potion can be given to Shiro and in return he will give you the Stone Mask. Additionally, Red Potion can be used to cure the curse that Blue Bubbles put on Link. Otherwise, Red Potion has the same effect as in Ocarina of Time.

Oracle of Seasons

Oracle of Ages

The Wind Waker

The Red Potion must be made with Chu Jelly in The Wind Waker. Link can take jelly from a Red ChuChu to the Potion Shop on Windfall Island to make it. It restores all of his hearts.

The Minish Cap

The Red Potion can be bought from Syrup in Minish Woods for 150 rupees. However, the Red Potion must be unlocked first before it can be purchased. To unlock this, Link must fuse Kinstones with the Forest Picori in South Hyrule Field. The Red Potion will fill all of Link's hearts, unlike the Blue Potion, which only fills eight.

Twilight Princess

Unlike in previous games, the Red Potion in Twilight Princess only restores eight hearts instead of all of them. It can be bought and held in a bottle. A similar item is Red Chu Jelly, which also restores eight hearts but is instead found from Chus.

Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks

In both Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, the Red Potion only restores six hearts. Like all potions in those games, it does not need to be held in a bottle. It can be purchased from various shops across the world, such as from Beedle.
