Red Potion is an reoccurring item in The Legend of Zelda series. It has the ability of healing Link's hearts. It may be obtained by a potion shop or by making it out of Chu Jelly on Windfall Island. By killing an enemy like a Chu in The Wind Waker you can obtain Chu Jelly.

The Legend of Zelda

In The Legend of Zelda, red potion can be obtained by giving the letter from the old man to the old lady who sells potions. You can buy red potion for 68 Rupees. The red potion heals all your hearts and can be used twice. When red potion is used once, it turns into Blue Potion that heals all your hearts but only can be used once. When you use all the red potion up the Bottle disappears. Red potion.gif

Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask

In both games Red Potion has the same look and effect.

In Ocarina of Time, Red Potion can be bought from potion shops and various Business Scrubs found throughout Hyrule (Business Scrubs usually sell for a higher price because of convenience). Red Potion heals all of Link's health and has one use.

In Majora's Mask, Red Potion can be bought from Kotake in the Southern Swamp Potion Shop, the Zora shop, and the Goron shop. The Red Potion can be given to Shiro and in return he will give you the Stone Mask. Additionally, Red Potion can be used to cure the curse that Bubbles put on you. Red Potion has the same effect as in Ocarina of Time. Red Potion.png

The Minish Cap

The Red Potion can be bought from Syrup in Minish Woods for 150 rupees. However, the Red Potion MUST be unlocked to purchase. To unlock this Link must fuse Kinstones with the Forest Picori in South Hyrule Field. The Red Potion will fill all of link's hearts, unlike the Blue Potion which only fills 8.
