Found in Termina in Majora's Mask, these are the living mouse-like counterpart of the Bombchu which run around and explode upon contact with Link. The easiest and most effective way to deal with this foe is with a simple arrow fired from afar.
In The Wind Waker, there are dark rats carrying bombs. According to the figurine description, these are indeed Real Bombchu. They pick up their bomb and throw it at Link, then go back to their hole to restock. Defeat this foe when attacking when it's out of its hole.
