Rats are recurring enemies in The Legend of Zelda series. They are mindless and don't hurt you much. They run around a lot and are easy to defeat.

Link's Awakening
The Wind Waker
In The Wind Waker, Rats first appear in the Forsaken Fortress. They will jump and attack Link, but if he feeds them All-Purpose Bait, they will act polite to him. Also, there are those whom carry bombs, called Bombchus. There are also those who can be found inside the prison on Windfall Island.
Four Swords Adventures
In Four Swords Adventures, Rats cause Link to drop and lose his Force Gems upon contact.
Twilight Princess
In Twilight Princess, Rats are a very common enemy that appear in various regions and dungeons. They can most commonly be found in the Arbiter's Grounds.
