Quill is a vigilant and dutiful Rito living in the Dragon Roost Island in The Wind Waker. He has the work of delivering letters across several islands in the Great Sea. He is first seen in the Outset Island to deliver letters, however, while he deliver the letters, he becomes shocked seeing the Helmaroc King holding a girl, Tetra, dropping her into the forest. When Link, Tetra and Gonzo are in a conversation after Link saved Tetra from the monsters in the forest, and the accident of Aryll being taken by the Helmaroc King, Quill jumps in and says if the pirates hadn't come to Outset Island, Aryll wouldn't been snatched away, and says that girls have been kidnapped from all regions of the Great Sea to the prison in the Forsaken Fortress, because of the pointy ears they have. Furthermore, when Quill traveled back to his home island, the Dragon Roost Island, he told his people about Link's sister being taken, and they become concerned. When Link comes to the Dragon Roost Island, he will encounter Quill, who will tell Link that he will inform his people that Link has came and will wait for Link. Once Link enters their room, Quill and Rito Chieftain will discuss about certain things. After the discuss, Quill will give Link the Delivery Bag. Link can later find Quill on the Greatfish Isle, the island that has been tormented, and he informs that Jabun was located here, and that he had the time to flee before settling in Outset Island.
