When Link attacks a Pokey, one of its sections will break off and ricochet around the area before it is destroyed. The head of a Pokey must be destroyed to defeat it.

Link's Awakening
Pokeys made cameo appearance along with several other enemies from the Mario games. Here, they are found in Yarna Desert. It is best to avoid these enemies if possible, since they move slowly.
