Template:Enemy

Poes are ghosts that can be quite a hazard to Link. They sometimes can appear and disappear at will, making them difficult to defeat. Two notable Poes would be Sharp and Flat.

Appearances

A Link to the Past

Poes are grim reaper-type enemies that only appear in the Graveyard. They are found in the Light World, flying around the various gravestones. They require many hits with a weapon to defeat.

Ocarina of Time

Artwork of Poe from Ocarina of Time.

Ocarina of Time's Poes disappear when Link gets too close. On top of that, they can go through walls. Link must catch ten Big Poes and bring them to the Poe Shop to get the fourth Bottle in this game. He must defeat four sister Poes as well to finish the Forest Temple. Sharp and Flat first appear in this game.

Majora's Mask

Poes don't appear as much in Majora's Mask but are the same as in Ocarina of Time. Sharp and Flat appear in this game as well.

The Wind Waker

In The Wind Waker, Poes are very human-like. They appear numerous times throughout the game. These ghosts can only be defeated by shining light on them and then hitting them with a weapon. Jalhalla, the boss of the Earth Temple, is actually an aggregation of Poes.

Twilight Princess

Twilight Princess Poes are called Imp Poes and might seem more creepy. They are a collectible in the game and by turning in Poes to Jovani, Link will receive various awards. Link must also kill four Imp Poes in order to complete the Arbiter's Grounds.

Phantom Hourglass
