Piece of Heart

Pieces of Heart are recurring items in The Legend of Zelda series. Link needs to collect four (five in Twilight Princess) in order to get a complete Heart Container. Each game has a different amount of Heart Pieces that can be found. Some have only 12, and some have 44 or more. They are not rare, though some of them take a long time to acquire, such as the 50 Gold Skulltula tokens required to get one of the Heart Pieces in Ocarina of Time.

A Link to the Past

Pieces of Heart make their first appearance in A Link to the Past. A total of 24 pieces can be found in the game providing Link with 6 additional Heart Containers.

Breath of the Wild
