The Photographer is a character who only appears in the DX Version of Link's Awakening. He is mouse-like in appearance and has a passion for taking all kinds of photos around Koholint Island.
Link first meets the Photographer in the Camera Shop at Tal Tal Heights, just north of Tabahl Wasteland. He will ask to take a picture of him, but only when Link is alone.[1][2] If Link says no even after he is asked twice, the Photographer will take a photo of Link looking dazed.[3] He titles it "Game Over".[4] If Link agrees to have his photo taken, the Photographer instructs him to go stand in front of a screen, and then he takes a photo of Link smiling and calls it "Here Stands a Brave Man".[5][6] He puts the photo in the Photo Album, naming it "The Travels of Link".[7][8] After that, he will appear at certain points in the game and take various pictures of Link in an attempt to fill up the album and use up the last of his film.[9][10]
