Ah, yes. Few things are more satisfying than swinging this sword around. It actually, unlike most other swords that enemies drop, plays a huge role in the final dungeon of the game it appears in, the Wind Waker ( The Wind Waker ). In Ganon's Castle, there are several round rooms with several doors. Only one is the right door each time the room resets. A phantom Ganon will appear, opening a new trick to defeating him. Don't try attacking when he shoots a red spark at you (just roll away repeatedly). Instead, wait for him to duplicate into several phantoms. They'll all swing, and when all but one phantom disappears, attack rapidly. No need to bounce his blue spark back and forth (though that DOES work...). Anyway, once he's defeated, DON'T PICK UP THE SWORD. The hilt, NOT THE TIP, will automatically point to the door you need to go through. Once you've gone through enough rooms, you'll be teleported back to the main room, where one final phantom will attack you. Defeat him and pick up his sword this time. Use it to slash at the big un-openable door. Other than the normal slash, you can also throw the sword. You can't use it in combat at any time, though. It's only useful in this final dungeon.
