The Patra is an enemy that has only appeared in The Legend of Zelda and A Link to the Past. Even in those games, it is quite rare.
Appearances
The Legend of Zelda
In the First Quest of the game, Patra can only be found in the 9th Level, Death Mountain Labyrinth. Patras consist of a single large eye, surrounded by seven smaller eyes. These smaller eyes will revolve around the center, occasionally moving away from the center eye to attack Link.
The best way to defeat Patra is to slash at each of the other eyes until they are defeated, and then slash at the helpless center eye.
