The Legend of Zelda

In the First Quest of the game, Patra can only be found in 9th Level, the Death Mountain Labyrinth. Patra consist of a single large eye, surrounded by seven smaller eyes. These smaller eyes will revolve around the center, occasionally moving away from the center eye to attack Link.

The best way to defeat Patra is to slash at each of the other eyes until they are defeated, and then slash at the helpless center eye.

There are two types of Patra and they are based on the revolution of the smaller eyes. In one type, the eyes that surround Patra revolve in a perfect circular manner. The other type sees the eyes revolve in a more varied and elliptical fashion. This second form is significantly more difficult to defeat as it is hard to gauge the distance and timing to attack the outer eyes.
