Ordon Spring
The Ordon Spring is located in the middle of the Ordona Province in Twilight Princess. This is one of the four Springs across Hyrule. It is home to one of the Light Spirits in the game, Ordona.
History
Link will first come across the spring in the prologue. After Link saves Malo he will return to Ordon Village and be taked with finishing herding the Ordon Goats. Ilia will notice a gash on Epona. She will be mad at Link and will take Epona to the Spring. He will notice that the gate to the Spring is now closed, however Colin will tell Link about a secret passage. This will be located to the side off the Spring in a small crawl space. Once Link enters the Spring a small cut scene will take place, Ilia will forgive Link as Colin told her what happened with Talo, however they will hear a noise. King Bulblin and his army of Bulblins will raid through the Spring and attack Link and Ilia. Link will wake up from being left unconscious and will be dragged into the Twilight Realm.
Once Link has escaped the jail in Hyrule Castle with the help of Midna, he will be returned to the Ordon Spring. After he has collected the Ordon Shield and the Ordon Sword from Ordon Village he will be lured back to the spring by the voice of Ordona. This will be the first time Link in Wolf form will face a Shadow Beast in combat. After Lino has defeated the Beast Ordona will the reveal his true form, he will tell Link about the Shadow Beasts and that he must return the light to the other three provinces across Hyrule. After this section of the game there is no need to come to this area again to advance the plot.
This also the location where Link will learn one of the seven Hidden Skills. After using the Howling Stone on the trail up to Death Mountain a Golden Wolf appear in Ordon Spring. This is where Link wil learn the Shield Attack from the Hero's Shade.
If the first 10 floors of the Cave of Ordeals is completed, fairies will appear in Ordon Spring; an easy way to restore health if the fairies are stored in bottles. If Link stands in the water his health will slowly be replenished.
Trivia
- At Ordon Spring, Link can crawl through a small passage way, which will lead him to the Ordon Woods. He will be able to obtain a Green Rupee here.
- After passing 10 floors in the Cave of Ordeals, Fairies will appear in Ordon Spring.
- The Ordon Spring theme is a remix of the Great Fairy Fountain theme from Ocarina of Time.
