Tears of the Kingdom

Opals can be obtained from miscellaneous Chests in the game or from mining Ore Deposits. They can be sold anywhere in Hyrule for 30 rupees each.

They now possess added utility compared to its Breath of the Wild counterpart, giving a weapon the ability to cast orbs of water when used as a fuse material. It's most effective when fused with a Magic Rod, Magic Scepter or Magic Staff. These types of weapons are effective against Fire enemies and against the Sludge that Link will have to navigate when doing the Sidon of the Zora part of the Main Quest.
