Nintendo is a Japanese video game company. Its current president is Satoru Iwata. It has created iconic franchises such as Mario, Zelda and Metroid. Other less iconic franchises are Donkey Kong, Kirby, and the Mother (Earthbound) series.
Nintendo was founded in 1889, and it was originally a card company.
