In Ocarina of Time, Mutoh can first be seen as a child in Kakariko Village beside a tree during the day. He and the Carpenters have been hired by Impa to improve the village and make it into a true city. However, Mutoh will be constantly complaining about how lazy they are. Seven years later it is revealed, Mutoh and his carpenters traveled to Gerudo Desert after constructing the Shooting Gallery in Kakariko Village. Link meets Mutoh prior to the broken bridge leading to the main Gerudo Desert. Mutoh informs him the Gerudo Pirates have abducted his carpenters and asks Link to rescue them.

Mutoh is also involved in the trading quest for the Biggoron's Sword. After Link gives Mutoh the Poacher's Saw that his son Grog left behind in the Lost Woods, Mutoh rewards the hero in green with the Broken Goron's Sword.

Majora's Mask

In Majora's Mask, Mutoh is the boss of the carpenters in Clock Town. He can be found arguing with the Mayor and Captain Viscen in the Mayor's Residence about the evacuation. He wants to complete the tower he and his men are building in South Clock Town in time for the Carnival of Time. On the third day however, his men chicken out and run away, leaving him alone to finish.

If Link resolves the aforementioned dispute with the aid of the Couple's Mask, Mutoh vanishes until the night of the final day when he is seen cursing the Moon.

Oracle of Ages
