The Mountain Town of Darunia is a town found in northeast Hyrule amongst the mountains in The Adventure of Link. This village contains various skills and secrets. Some of the villagers that Link talks to, mostly women, turn into Ache.

Link can get the Reflect Spell from the Wise Man in this town, but only after rescuing a Kidnapped Child in the Maze Island Palace, and taking it to a woman that will allow Link to enter the man's house.

Link can also learn the Upward Thrust from a Knight of Hyrule living in the town. The door to the knight's house, however, is locked, so Link must use the Jump Spell to enter from the roof.

Also, there is a wall that Link can talk to. It contains a secret message that hints to the location of the fifth palace.

Etymology

This town is named after Darunia, a Sage in Ocarina of Time.[1]
