Monkeys appear a few times in the Zelda Series most notably in Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess.

Majora's Mask

Monkeys appeared when Link was trying to clear the Southern Swamp of poison waters. The Deku King captured a Monkey and accused him of kidnapping his daughter. Once Link manages to navigate through the courtyard of the Deku Palace, he teaches the hero the Sonata of Awakening, which is used to access the Woodfall Temple.
