Minister Potho is the minister of Hyrule Castle and the protector of Zelda. When the Picori Festival is held in Hyrule Town, Link delivers the Smith's Sword to him from Master Smith that he has been making for the sword-fighting tournament. Afterwards, Potho shows the Picori Blade to Vaati for him to touch it because of the last competition he won. While he tries to steal it, he notices Zelda and turns her into stone. He will then search of what inside the chest holds and finds nothing that he is looking for and then vanishes. Minister Potho talks to King Daltus, Master Smith and Link in a room after the hero has waked up from the damage. They will make an conclusion to let Link go out on an journey in order to recover Zelda and reforge a new sacred blade.
