Mimos is a character in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

He can be found walking back and forth at the top of the Ebon Mountain, near the small pond. The pond on top of the mountain is in the shape of a broken heart. Mimos is here searching for his soul mate, but has mistakenly gone to the wrong pond.[1][2] Mimos believes the small pond to be Sweetheart's Pond, but that pond is actually located at the peak of Tuft Mountain, located just west of Lurelin Village.[3]

Despite facing the disappointment that his soul mate is not going to be arriving, Mimos still keeps a clear head, stating that his mom always said he could anything he put is mind to.[4] Link suggest to Mimos that perhaps he should visit a different pond, such as the one on top of Tuft Mountain, at which Mimos is considering that maybe that could work.[5]

Tears of the Kingdom

This Tears of the Kingdom section is a stub. You can help the Zelda Dungeon Wiki by expanding it.

Mimos can first be found outside the entrance to the Yiga Clan Hideout, where he professes his wish to join the Clan. The doorman informs him that the new recruit they'd been expecting would know to have gone to the three main Yiga branches to collect his uniform, so his simple Hylian appearance makes it clear he's nothing more than a fanboy. Link arriving in full Yiga attire will have him be taken in as the presumed new member, causing Mimos a great deal of jealousy. When Link enters in Yiga gear, the Yiga Blademaster watching over the entrance hall assumes Link to be the new member he'd heard of.[6] However, a Yiga Clan Notebook in the Abandoned Gerudo Mine details the happenings of the new member,[7] which can be found before Link and Mimos try to enter the Hideout. It seems that the new recruit had already joined, and the Yiga in the Hideout were simply experiencing a case of mistaken identity.

Following this humbling, Mimos can be found wandering near East Akkala Stable, where he still has a fixation on joining the Yiga Clan. Unsurprisingly, the sight of the Yiga Set causes him yet more envy when spoken to.

Nothing around here seems in the least bit edible. You'd think that everyone would take that seriously and respect the ingredient and food stock, but NO. That wretched new recruit ate a whole shipment of bananas the moment I took my eyes off of them. From now on, I'm keeping my own supply.
