Template:Boss Medelock is the boss of the eighth dungeon in Oracle of Seasons, the Sword & Shield Maze. He resembles the head of Medusa from Greek mythology. Medelock has a few basic attacks. He will shoot laser beams from his eyes, send out balls of energy as he flies around the room, or stay in the middle and shoot orbs from his body in an erratic circle. If Link is hit by one of these orbs he'll be petrified for a few seconds, leaving him vulnerable to attack. Medelock's attacks can be best avoided by jumping over them using the Roc's Cape. To fight Medelock, Link can freeze him using the Hyper Slingshot equipped with Pegasus Seeds. Once he is frozen, Link can attack him with his Sword. After 10 hits from the sword, Medelock will be defeated.

Upon Medelock's defeat, Link will obtain the eighth and final Essence of Nature, the Changing Seasons.
