Maw of Death Mountain

Maw of Death Mountain is an area in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

The Maw of Death Mountain is located right along the main path, just north of the Foothill Stable. The area is indicated by a Death Mountain Marker that marks Death Mountain Marker #1 Climbing Path Trailhead. At this point on the trail leading towards Goron City, the climate is very much tolerable, and Link will not need Flame Guard. Just to the west, Link will find Lake Ferona and just to the north, Link will find Lake Intenoch.

Along the pathway, Link will encounter two people, including Kairo the Goron and Dayto the Hylian. Both walk between the Foothill Stable and an abandoned wagon further along the path.

Along the path you'll find some materials and enemies that are native to the Eldin region. This includes some Fireproof Lizards, Warm Darners, and Summerwing Butterflies. Link will also find some Fire Chuchus and occasionally an Eldin Ostrich will appear. Since the area in the Eldin region, it is perpetually sunny and will never rain around the mountain.
