Marin and Tarin's House is a location in Link's Awakening. Found near the center of Mabe Village, it is the home of Tarin and his daughter, Marin. When Link washes up on the shores of Koholint Island, he first awakens in their home. He initially mistakes Marin for Zelda, and then she explains what happened.[1][2] Tarin gives him his shield here.[3] In the bottom left corner of the room, there are two pots that, when lifted, always reveal Recovery Hearts. There is also a chest in the northeast and two beds, likely for the house's two occupants.[4] Throughout most of the much of the game, Tarin is found sleeping in the bed. Otherwise, the house remains rather empty.
