Magmanos

Magmanos is the miniboss found in the Fire Sanctuary. Link fights it in a room with a mesh floor. Magmanos consists of (at least) two hands formed from the lava beneath Link. The palms of the hands glow, and Link can be seen swinging his sword at them, implying that it can be defeated by striking these glowing palms. They can in fact only be defeated after being struck by a water bulb, then being hit with Link's sword. After defeating Magmanos, Link obtains the Mogma Mitts, an upgrade to the Digging Mitts. The Magmanos attack link by rising out of the lava and making contact with Link. The way they attack can be beneficial to the player, if Link stands on rocks found in the mini-boss chambers the Magmanos attack from directly below raising Link safely to new area/rooms.
