The Magical Sword could be obtained when you have 12 Heart Containers. In the first quest, you could get in by pushing a specific grave in the Graveyard while having a Power Bracelet with you.
The Adventure of Link
The Magical Sword in the Adventure of Link is the sword you have in the game. It cannot be upgrades, but instead, you can increase your Attack power to power it up. It can also be used to pick up things like Point Bags and keys. Like in The Legend of Zelda, you can produce a Sword Beam when your health is full.
