The Magic Rod is one of the items from Link's Awakening. It can create fireballs that are twice as strong as the Ultimate Sword, which Link can use to shoot at enemies that are far away. Link obtains this item in Turtle Rock, the eighth dungeon, and uses it to defeat Hot Head. It is also one of the few items that can kill Cuccos and Dogs.
