Magda

Magda is a character from Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

Magda stands at the Floret Sandbar, the island located in West Necluda, right on the Hylia River. Presumably she arrived at the island, using the raft located right near where she is standing. She stands outside of the Hila Rao Shrine to admire the flowers she planted around the shrine.[1][2]

After reaching the Hila Rao Shrine and activating the pedestal, the color of the Shrine will change. If Link speaks with Magda, she will comment about the color changing, thinking that the shrine is happy with all the flowers she planted.[3]

Watch Out for the Flowers

Magda is very protective of the flowers she planted around the shrine, and she will get angry if Link steps on them. Link can begin the quest by talking to Magda, where she encourages Link to take a closer look, but not to step on them.[4] Alternatively, the first time Link steps on the flowers, Magda will get mad, and this will trigger the start of the quest.[5][6]

Once the quest has started, Link will need to navigate around the flowers to reach the shrine. Link can do so by either carefully navigating the maze of flowers, using Revali's Gale, or by leaping off the top of the tree and Paragliding towards the shrine. If at any point Link steps on the flowers, Magda will yell at him and he will appear back where she is standing. Magda will get angrier each time Link steps on the flowers and if he does so three times, she completely loses it.[7][8] She will trample across all of her flowers, give Link a death stare, and then charge right at him. Magda will cause Link to lose three hearts of health, and if Link has less than that, he will be left with just 1/4 heart of health remaining.[9] This behavior has earned her the nickname Flowerblight Ganon, given to her by the Zelda community.

Tears of the Kingdom

Magda can be found at Floret Sandbar where she takes care of the plants and flowers on the small island.[10] If Link steps on the flowers, Magda will get very irritated.[11] Each time Link steps on the flower patch, Magda gets increasingly angry.[12] After a third time stepping on the flowers, Magda gets even more angry.[13]

The Missing Farm Tools

After Link first completes the Potential Princess Sightings! quest, Penn will appear at the Outskirt Stable. Speaking to him begins The Missing Farm Tools quest. Link will find Izra by the docks and can ride the raft down to the Floret Sandbar. Here the group is joined by Penn and Magda.

Izra mentions that they are just looking for some farm tools that were lent to Princess Zelda and they won't pick any flowers.[14][15][16] Magda mentions that Princess Zelda uses the area as her plant sanctuary, but she has since gone missing.[17] Izra understands the situation and asks to take the farm tools back with him.[18][19]

Magda mentions that she really needs some help to make the garden beds as perfect as they were before.[20] Izra says he's glad to help by allowing her to keep the tools a little longer, while providing the advice not to overwork the soil.[21] Magda mistakes this as thinking Izra has volunteered to help out, which suprises Izra.[22][23] Magda then gives Izra a task of working the soil, and gives him the advice to put his back into it.[24]

Izra will reluctantly agree to stay and help out, saying that he doesn't really have anything else to do.[25][26] This will complete the quest.
