There is only one obtainable item found in this dungeon, and it is actually an upgrade to a previous item. It is called the [[Magical Boomerang]], and is quite obviously the upgrade to the [[Boomerang]]. There are a few differences between the two, the first and main difference is the Magical Boomerang has almost double the range as the Boomerang, as it will travel the full length of the screen, where as the Boomerang did not. Also, the Boomerang had a red color to it, while the Magical Boomerang is blue. For this reason it is often referred to as the Blue Boomerang incorrectly. It is found in a room full of [[Goriya]]s on the southeast side of the dungeon. It will only appear after Link has defeated all the Goriyas.

The [[Boss]] of the dungeon is [[Dodongo]]. He has no genuine attacks but occasionally shuts his mouth to prevent you from throwing [[bomb]]s in. Avoid contact. Place a bomb in front of him and after he swallows two, you are victorious. The dungeon reward is a [[Heart Container]] as well as a Triforce Shard.

Dodongo will walk around absent-mindedly, almost ignoring Link's presence. Its only attack is to make contact with Link, which causes a full heart of damage. After killing it with a couple of well placed [[Bomb]]s, Dodongo will be defeated, and leave a [[Heart Container]] behind. After collecting the Heart Container Link can enter the next room and the second Triforce Shard, waiting for him.

Level 2: The Moon is the second dungeon found in the original The Legend of Zelda. After obtaining the first Triforce Shard from the first dungeon, the Eagle, it can be reached by travelling, from the Starting Screen, four screens east, two screens north, two screens east, one screen north, one screen west, and finally up the large staircase. The second Triforce Shard is located here, being guarded by a Dodongo. After defeating the Dodongo, Link can collect the Triforce Shard and head to the next dungeon, Level 3: The Manji.
