The Lanayru Province is a location that has appeared in both of the newest 3-D Zeldas, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword.
Twilight Princess
Lanayru Province is the 3rd province accessed in Twilight Princess. Hyrule Castle, Castle Town, Lake Hylia, and Zora's Domain are all located here.
Skyward Sword
The Lanayru Province is one of the three major regions of Skyward Sword. It is a large desert themed area, but it wasn't always that way. Lanayru Desert was originally filled with lush scenery, and was able to grow Ancient Flowers. That was until the war between the Goddess and Demon King ensued. Afterwards, the province was nothing but never ending seas of sand and rolling Tumbleweed. The Ancient Robots could no longer thrive in such conditions.
