Lake Hylia is a recurring location in the Zelda series. It has been featured in four games. In each of these four games it has held a dungeon in it.

Appearances

A Link to the Past

Lake Hylia in A Link to the Past is ridden with enemies such as the evil version of the Zoras. The Dark World version of Lake Hylia holds the Ice Palace.

Ocarina of Time

The Water Temple from Ocarina of Time

Lake Hylia lies southwest of Hyrule Field and holds some Gold Skulltula, the Fishing Hole, the Lakeside Laboratory, both Scarecrows (at least in the past), and, of course, the Water Temple. In the past, the lake is full, but in the future it is nearly empty until Link completes the Water Temple. Aside from Hyrule field, Lake Hylia connects to the Zora's domain, though the tunnel is frozen in the future, and Gerudo Valley, which is inaccesible from Lake Hylia. If Link falls into the river in Gerudo Valley, he is transported to Lake Hylia.

The Minish Cap

Lake Hylia is one of the areas of Hyrule and houses the fourth dungeon of the game, the Temple of Droplets. The Temple holds the third element, the Water Element. Stockwell's house, Mayor Hagen's house, David Jr. and Waveblade are located here.

Twilight Princess

The Twilight Princess Lake Hylia is home to Lanayru Spring, carnival type games, and the Lakebed Temple, and the Great Bridge of Hylia passes above it. When Link first comes to this Lake it is mostly empty but after he unfreezes Zora's Domain, the lake is filled again.
