Lake Hylia is one of the areas of Hyrule and houses the fourth dungeon of the game, the Temple of Droplets. The Temple holds the third element, the Water Element.

Stockwell's House, Mayor Hagen's Lakeside Cabin, David Jr. and Waveblade are located by the lake, while the Witch's Hut can initially only be accessed through the lake region.

Twilight Princess

Lake Hylia in Twilight Princess when restored to normal.

Background

In Twilight Princess, Lake Hylia can be found in the southern part of the Lanayru Province. The Great Bridge of Hylia passes above the lake and leads into the center of the province. Fyer is located here with his Human-Cannonball Ride. Link can pay him for an Oasis Flight up to the Gerudo Desert or a normal flight up onto Falbi's house where Link can play the mini-game Falbi's Flight-by-Fowl or just pass through the house to reach the Great Bridge of Hylia.

When first encountered the Lake is corrupted with Twilight and almost dried out, however, once Link collects all the Tears of Light and unfreezes Zora's Domain, the Lake is filled with water and restored from Twilight.
